Senior Saints pre-season tours
First XI and Colts hold their heads high |

SOMEWHAT DICEY WEATHER KICKED OFF THE WEEK with the St Charles College senior cricketers opening their 2011 campaigns with very good cricket. On Tuesday the St Charles Second XI / U16A team, the "Colts" plied their trade at Alex Week, and took on Wartburg High School first XI - to come away with a win on Tuesday 11 January. The next day the first XI, at Michaelhouse, ran into Paarl Boys' High School. Highlights of this intruiging and ultimately exciting game are: Jarryd Streicher: 4/22 in 10 overs, Gareth Rall: 2/21 from 7 overs. Robin Mitchell 76* off 170 balls - who anchored the innings and spent 232 minutes at the crease. The game ended in a draw. The full scorecard of the Paarl game is downloadable here (XLS file).
